Task Force on Campus Racism

The Taskforce on Campus Racism is an initiative of the members of the Canadian Federation of Students-Ontario. During second semester, hearings will be scheduled and advertised across college and university campuses to hear from students, faculty and staff about how they experience racism. Information about the Taskforce will be added to the website soon. Until then, if you have any questions, please email taskforce@cfsontario.ca.

The Task Force on the Needs of Muslim Students

The Final Report of the Task Force on the Needs of Muslim Students was released on March 21, the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The report is the culmination of a comprehensive investigation into the first hand experiences of Muslim students on campuses across Ontario and was intended to assess the breadth and scope of institutional accommodation of an important and growing segment of the campus population. Over the course of seven months, nearly 1,000 students participated at 17 on-campus hearings resulting in nearly 500 formal statements. Please read the report and continue to check this website for follow-up information on how to make your campus more inclusive and accommodating for Muslim students.
